Course Objectives The aim of the course, using elements of visual communication with and through Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator programs, creative thinking, and to acquire knowledge and skills for designing.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • will be able to have theoretical and practical knowledge on the concept of visual communication
  • will be able to understand the importance of design elements and principles of visual communication
  • will be able to create a composition to the visual symbols.
  • will be able to gain ability to design products for a variety of visual communication and graphic design field through computer programs
  • will be able to apply pressure until the entire business process.
  • will be able to carry out the project presentation
Course Description This course is a creative idea to design products that can be transformed into visual communication.

3 Project 1: Section-Plan-Composition, Poster Design Determination of the event concepts according to prepared visual compositions, and completing poster designs with information content added. Digital application
4 Deadline for Project 1, presentation and discussion Printing out of designs and bringing digital records
5 Project 2: Logo Desing Serving the project brief, theoretical expression, visual research, discussion of the brand idea of publishing house and the visual references, beginning of design process Researching the “logo design” practice from the advised online and offline references, exploration of distinctive logo designs of local and global publishing houses, collecting visual references and analyzing
6 Project 2: Logo Desing Creating the determined idea sketches in digital media, developing the designs Digital application
7 Project 2: Logo Desing Completion of Logo Designs. Preparing stylescapes present the design process, target group profile and the visual theme. Researching the “Stylescape” approach from the advised online references, analyzing the design practice, and digital application.

9 Project 3: “Book Cover Design” Identifying the original visual language of the publishing house in accordance with the “Brand Identity” and “Target Group Strategies”, discussing the idea sketches for three books Researching the book cover design practice from the advised online references, analyzing the design practice and gathering design samples
